Dream Big Darling Multi-City Anniversary Tour Celebrates 10 Years of Nonprofit's Empowerment of Emerging Women in Wine & Spirits

PASO ROBLES, Calif., (Sept. 18, 2025) – After nearly a decade of fostering community and opportunity among emerging professional women in the wine and spirits industries, Dream Big Darling is thrilled to announce its 2025 Anniversary Tour.  Launching on October 23, 2025, at Epoch Estate Wines in Paso Robles, California, the three-event series will celebrate the nonprofit's exciting journey and continued commitment to connection, mentorship and education.

Founder and President Amanda Wittstrom Higgins first conceived of Dream Big Darling in 2015 while holding her newborn daughter. She envisioned elevating the next generation of women by creating a vibrant community providing crucial opportunities, real-life insights and practical tools for success as they embarked on their careers.

“This tour is more than a celebration; it’s a reunion of our incredible community and the chance to welcome new members into our fold,” says Wittstrom Higgins. “It’s about honoring the brave women who supported this idea from the very beginning as well as highlighting our successful endeavors over the years, including our FLOurish mentorship programs, in-person and virtual retreats and Fresh Voices writing partnership with SOMM Journal and Tasting Panel.”

Since its official launch in 2018, Dream Big Darling has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of women in the industry, leading to tangible career advancement and dream job placements. The organization is known for its intentional community and highly interactive programs that create lasting connections.

“Attending the 2019 Dream Big Darling retreat was a turning point for me, as was the 2021 FLOurish mentorship,” says Bodegas LAN U.S. Brand Ambassador Lorea Amatria, who also was a 2021 Fresh Voices author. “Receiving support and the faith of having someone that believes in you is both comforting and inspiring.”

Higgins emphasizes the particular need for organizations like Dream Big Darling in the current times, saying, "Our work is not yet finished. Our industry is facing a crisis, and the need to cultivate new talent, leadership, and passion is greater than ever. Women are the #1 audience in the wine/spirits/alcohol beverage market but are still underrepresented in all facets of the industry. We recognize that a key element in achieving professional success is having role models and mentors whose own experiences and trajectories align with our members’ goals.”
