We decide we love a wine – now what? How do we share it? We all work hard to taste professionally and fairly, to make quality calls. How do we decide on the right track for a specific wine, making it accessible, and to whom? Madeline Triffon has selected three wines she loves. She’ll describe each wine as we taste it, provide background on the women winemakers and turn to our panelists to weigh in: what’s the best way to utilize a wine of this type, how to make it come alive in the market and in our businesses, so that it touches both the trade and consumers?

We’ve brought together a roundtable of industry friends to think this out together. Join us for a virtual tasting and panel discussion!

This event includes a wine tasting led by master sommelier, Madeline Triffon.
participating in the tasting is Optional and the wines are available for purchase seperately.

J. Lassalle Champagne Premier Cru “Cachet d’Or”
A style of grower Champagne that’s both delicious and bears close examination. Made by 3 generations of Lassalle women, whose motto is “Une femme, un esprit, un style” (one woman, one spirit, one style). The wine completes malo, is aged for three years and has a moderate dosage, all contributing to its accessibility. J. Lassalle was one of the first wine producers to join the Kermit Lynch portfolio.

Château de la Font du Loup Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2019 Rhône Valley
An elegant style of CDP, made by an exuberant ambassador for the area, Anne Charlotte Melia, owner-winemaker. The estate is located on sandier soils, not galets, in the north eastern part of the appellation. Anne Charlotte, “Acha” to her many appreciative friends, makes wine that drinks well you, with a welcoming texture.

Dei Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2018 Tuscany
Sleek, textbook example of Sangiovese at its best – with balanced acidity and tannin, and classic expressions of dried fruit and flowers. Caterina Dei is a leader in the area, active in bringing global attention to this small, noble appellation.
