Dr. Meredith Dillon, Secretary

For the past 18 years Meredith Dillon has worked in the California Community Colleges system assisting students on their educational pathways to success. She started her career at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo as a certified athletic trainer. In the fall of 2017, she moved to Southern California for her dream job at College of the Desert in Palm Desert as kinesiology professor—but she remains close ties to the Central Coast and a longtime passion for all things wine. A guiding principle during her career has always been “maintaining a servant's heart and meeting students each day precisely where they are at in their academic journey.” Her role has many facets, including mentor, counselor, and educator.

“I had the opportunity to work with Amanda when she was a student at Cuesta College, and when she approached me to join the Dream Big Darling and told me about the mission, it was a natural fit given my desire to mentor the next generation,” Meridith says.
